The Beach ball at the Brighton conference center was the biggest indoor gay event ever held attracting over 4500 people. Thousands partied all night and were entertained by a lavish show featuring "the carnival collective" and the legendary former "Weather Girl", diva Miss Martha Wash.

Divas was a one off party dedicated to the most soulfull divas of our time and featured stunning live sets from legends like Jocelyn Brown, Eve Gallagher and Kim Mazelle. Fabulous comedy impersonations of legendary divas where supplied by drag stars Miss Carla and Sandra & Lucia.

"And they're off!!" The wild fruit team are always first past the post when it comes to using unusual spaces as venues and "Romp at the Races" was no exception.

Using Brighton's famous racecource as a backdrop and the huge spaces of the public stand as an arena "Romp at the Races" boasted the south coasts biggest sound system.

Held on Pride night "Romp at the races" drew capacity crowds and proves that with a little imagination any space can become a party venue.

Taking themes to extremes - guest's where given their boarding passes at the door and their every entertainment need catered for by "lovely" air hostesses Tina Fish, Mamma Karen and Sonya Gusset and in-flight music by Princess Julia. Departure lounge took off for two very special long-haul flights in 1993.
