Brighton's in for a dragtastic treat this August when The Theatre Royal Brighton host two 2 extraordinary shows.
For the first time ever, the cream of Britain's drag artists will appear on the same stage - as men in THE BOYS IN THE BAND and then as their drag personas in THE GIRLS IN THE BAND. Both shows are presented in a single evening of hilarious entertainment.
THE BOYS IN THE BAND is the groundbreaking gay play that shocked and thrilled audiences in the late 1960s. The film that followed became a classic. A new production of THE BOYS IN THE BAND last year brought the play to a new generation resulting in a re-evaluation of Matt Crowley's script as the best gay play ever written.
THE GIRLS IN THE BAND is an outrageous late night cabaret featuring the same cast.
Spectacular costumes, hysterical routines and outrageous comedy. Introduced by the legendary Maisie Trollette.
